Landscape Maintenance

Landscape Maintenance cares for City parks and facility grounds, landscape assessment districts, general benefit landscapes, park and rides, and the Palmdale Transportation Center grounds. The section advocates for the beautification and sustainability of these essential community assets that help make Palmdale a vibrant place to call home.

Services include:

• Urban forest management
• Plant / shrub management
• Turf management
• Graffiti abatement
• Integrated weed and pest management
• Water resource management via climate-based central irrigation control
• Backflow prevention device management
• Drainage basin system maintenance 
• Design and fabrication, including wrought iron fence life cycle program
• Litter management
• Illegal dumping abatement

The Landscape Maintenance Section oversees private contractors who provide much of the City’s landscape maintenance services. City staff ensure contractor compliance and provide specialized maintenance services throughout the City’s urban grounds and green spaces.
