Title VI
About
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination on the basis of race, color, or national origin in any program or activity that receives Federal financial assistance. Specifically, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 states:
No person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
City Commitment
The City of Palmdale is committed to ensuring that no person is excluded from participation in, or denied the benefits of its programs on the basis of race, color or national origin, as protected by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. If you believe you have been subjected to discrimination under Title VI, you may file a written complaint with the City of Palmdale. A written complaint may be filed with the City Clerk of the City of Palmdale at:

In addition to filing a Civil Rights complaint with the City of Palmdale, a complainant may file a Title VI complaint concerning race, color or national origin discrimination with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) or with the Office of Civil Rights that can be mailed to:
