Come join us for this ceremonial groundbreaking to get a sneak peek at what’s planned for the expansion of Sam Yellen Park!

Sam Yellen Park Phase 1, located on East Avenue S at 50th Street East, opened in 2017 and included many amenities for the enjoyment of the public, while the eastern 12 acres of the park were left undeveloped to accommodate future expansion.

The Sam Yellen Park Phase II Project provides for full expansion of the site.

• Expanded Playground Area with play structures designed for children ages 2 to 5 years
• Illuminated Pedestrian Path
• Various Plantings for Phase I & Phase II
• Natural Grass and Artificial Turf Futsal Courts
• Roundabout Entry accessible from Avenue S that connects to the existing parking lot and provides a convenient drop-off zone
• New Parking Lot accessible from Hillcrest Drive
• Lighting at existing dog park

Developed in 2017, the 12.5-acre Sam Yellen Park and Dog Park is located on East Avenue S next to Barrel Springs Elementary and boasts the City of Palmdale's first dog park.
