Early in 2018, Palmdale native Paul George, a six-time NBA All-Star and current Los Angeles Clippers star, along with 2K Foundations and the Los Angeles Clippers Foundation, approached the City of Palmdale with a vision of doing something significant to give back to community where Paul honed his basketball craft.

Through this partnership and their financial generosity, the basketball courts and backboards were refurbished and replaced at Marie Kerr, Domenic Massari, Courson and Desert Sands parks. A gaming suite was also created at the Marie Kerr Park Recreation Center.

To create an extra special dimension to the projects, they reached out to Los Angeles artist Michael Farhat to design original art for these courts, inspired by Paul George and the community of Palmdale. Combining colors, symbols, and logos that captured the essence of Paul’s experiences in Palmdale and beyond, Art Mobb created works of art that will be enjoyed by thousands of residents for years to come.
